?? The Role

We are seeking a Children’s Homes Manager to oversee two small (2-bed) in-house residential children’s homes. This role places strong emphasis on therapeutic care, relationship-building, and quality leadership.

You will:

  • Provide operational oversight and team leadership across both homes.
  • Embed therapeutic practices in every aspect of the service.
  • Drive continuous improvement through quality assurance and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and care regulations.
  • Champion the voices and experiences of children in care.

? What We’re Looking For

You’ll be either:

  • A Registered Manager with a background in achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted gradings, OR
  • A Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in your leadership journey.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 2 years working in children’s residential care in the last 5 years.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare—or commitment to complete within 3 years.
  • Strong working knowledge of key regulations and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Ability to manage budgets, teams, and partnership working.
  • Experience leading therapeutic culture and embedding Trauma-Informed Practice.
