Milling operative- Pigment & Coatings

Starting salary £28,083.27 | Rising to £31,343.95 after probation

We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Operator to join our clients team, based in Livingston.

This is a key role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, accuracy and teamwork really matter.

The Role

You will be responsible for manufacturing pigment and coating formulations to precise specifications, ensuring all mixes meet required volume and quality standards. Operating mix mill machinery will form a large part of the role, along with updating formulations where required.

Duties include:

Operating all machinery safely and efficiently
Manufacturing goods to specification
Carrying out quality checks
Working with chemical products
Manual handling and occasional heavy lifting
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
Supporting productivity and continuous quality improvementsYou will be working in an area where chemicals are present, so attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures is essential.

What We're Looking For

Experience within manufacturing, ideally in a customer focused environment
Print industry knowledge would be advantageous
Experience of working with chemicals.
Strong attention to detail, particularly around quality control
Forklift licence would be an advantage
A proactive attitude and willingness to work shiftsWorking Pattern

We operate a day and night shift pattern consisting of 12 hour shifts:

Nightshift - Monday to Wednesday 6.00pm to 6.00am
Dayshift - Monday to Wednesday 6.00am to 6.00pm, Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm.This pattern offers a condensed working week with structured downtime built in.
