Our client is a very successful and established manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer.

We are seeking a professional multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical and electrical engineering and maintenance skills.

The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for undertaking and overseeing all planned and reactive mechanical & electrical maintenance duties and some project work at a busy manufacturing facility.

Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

Maintenance, service and repair (mechanical and electrical) of a range of machinery including, rotary machinery, dispensers, conveyors, cutting and assembly equipment and more
Gearboxes, pumps, motors, pulleys, bearings
3-phase electrical fault find and repair maintenance
Pneumatic controls, pumps, compressors
Welding & fabrication
Some facilities maintenance
Involvement in project work including machine upgrades, down time reductions and R&D workCandidate:

We are seeking a competent mechanical / electrical maintenance engineer with previous manufacturing maintenance engineering experience. ideally from a machine tool engineering background.

You will have excellent mechanical and electrical fault find and repair skills and ideally you will have good plc interrogation skills.

Must have recognised mechanical engineering qualification NVQ 3 and applicants with electrical qualification will be beneficial.

Applicants will be have excellent communication skills and you will be versatile enough to adapt to the variety of maintenance and project work involved in this exciting new role.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
