About the Company
Our client are a fast-growing and well-established media and events business with a diverse portfolio in both B2C and B2B sectors. Alongside delivering large-scale events, they also operate a number of successful digital and publishing brands.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in a newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to step into a broad, hands-on position with exposure to senior leadership and real influence on the business.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while managing a small team. This is a varied role combining financial reporting, team leadership, and process improvement within a dynamic, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team

* Own and deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts

* Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insight and analysis

* Review and approve payment runs

* Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

* Produce statutory accounts for multiple entities

* Support year-end processes, including audit and tax reporting

* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities

* Drive cost control and improve financial performance

* Review and enhance systems, processes, and internal controls

About You

* ACA / ACCA qualified

* Experience managing or supervising a team

* Background in practice (audit) looking for a first move into industry OR existing Finance Manager experience

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally

* Advanced Excel skills

* Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Sage) is advantageous

* Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
