Document Controller

Location - Knutsford, Cheshire (Hybrid) 
Rate - £25 - £35Ltd (subject to an ir35 assessment confirming outside status) 
Hours - 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 
Duration - 6 months + (ongoing likely) 

The role

As the Document Controller you will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive document control service with a high standard of customer service to employees and clients. You will work closely with other people within the business to understand the requirements and deliver against these successfully. 

Estimated Duration - 6 months +
This role has been deemed outside of IR35

You will have the following qualifications & experience
Manage the receipt and transmittal of documents.
Maintain version control standards.
Maintain the Master Document Register for the Business Management System.
Assisting the project managers and responsible directors with project document management including the maintenance of document issue and receipt registers.
Use document management software such as Huddle, ProjectWise.
Assist the Quality Systems Manager with document management.
Assist the Quality Systems Manager with desktop audits.
Assist the Commercial team with new proposal and project setup.
Handle requests for supplier pre-qualification questionnaires.
Manage the Approved Supplier List.
Manage the Legal Register updates.
Assist project teams with Quality documentation.
Maintaining the company standards and national standard registers. This also involves issuing the standard to staff.
Maintain the archiving system.
Maintain the Business Management System templates and links to the intranet.It's great if you also have the following
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, including outlook, word and especially excel.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with solid oral and written communication capabilities.
Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
Consistently demonstrate the ability to act independently, prioritise and influence others.
Experience of working in a document control role.
Experience of using document control software.
Experience of working in the engineering industry.
Eligible to live and work in the UK.The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
