We are working with a well-established Trust again to hire into their finance team. This time for an experienced Finance Operations Lead to oversee day-to-day finance operations and support strategic financial development. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll lead the finance team, strengthen financial controls, and ensure high-quality financial reporting across a multi-site organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team of 2 people
• Oversee month-end close and consolidated management accounts
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with audit, VAT, HMRC, pensions
• Maintain strong financial policies, systems and controls
• Prepare statutory returns and manage banking processes
• Support new conversions and Trust growth

Essential Requirements

• Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA 
• Public sector experience
• Strong finance operations and team leadership experience
• Excellent technical knowledge and financial control expertise
• Clear communicator, organised, proactive and solutions-focused

Desirable

• Experience within the education sector
