Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Nottingham (full-time, permanent)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 full study support (CIMA/ACCA)

We are working exclusively with a leading Nottingham-based employer who are seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. The Opportunity
You will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end preparation of monthly management accounts, working closely with senior finance colleagues to provide accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in a range of tasks including:

Assisting with the full preparation of monthly management accounts

Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records

Preparing and submitting VAT returns

Supporting with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting

Assisting with forecasting, budgeting, and month-end processes

About You
We are looking for someone who has already started, or is about to start, their CIMA or ACCA qualification and is eager to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced, commercial environment. You will ideally have:

Experience working in a large business environment, with exposure to management accounts

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Excellent Excel skills and a willingness to learn new systems

The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively in a busy finance team
