Our client is a well-established mechanical and electrical contractor delivering high-quality building services solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, retail, and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team and support the delivery of residential projects throughout the UK.

The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Electrical Design Engineer with a minimum of 3 years' residential experience to further their career within a dynamic and supportive business. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing compliant, high-quality electrical designs for residential building services projects.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Develop detailed electrical designs for residential projects including lighting, power, fire alarm, security, and containment systems.

*

Produce specifications, drawings, schedules, and technical reports in support of project delivery.

*

Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other members of the design team.

*

Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections as required.

*

Ensure all designs comply with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and other relevant industry standards.

*

Provide technical advice and support to project and installation teams.

*

Stay informed of industry regulations, technology, and best practices.

Candidate Requirements:

*

Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical design within the residential building services sector.

*

Qualified to 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

*

Solid knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations, and CIBSE guides.

*

Proficient in relevant software packages such as AutoCAD, Amtech (Trimble), and ideally Revit MEP.

*

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
