JOB - Maintenance Manager
LOCATION - Haywards Heath
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

My client is a successful and long-established manufacturing company based near Haywards Heath, seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function across their production facility. This is a key role responsible for ensuring machinery, equipment, and site services run efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.

The Maintenance Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
• Experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background
• Good understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement
• Ability to fault find on production machinery and automated equipment
• Experience managing a small maintenance team or contractors
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements
• Relevant engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or similar)

The Maintenance Manager role will involve:
• Leading and managing the maintenance team to ensure effective PPM and rapid breakdown response
• Overseeing maintenance activity across all production plant, machinery, and site utilities
• Implementing and improving maintenance systems, processes, and documentation
• Coordinating external contractors and ensuring compliance with H&S procedures
• Monitoring equipment performance and driving reliability and efficiency improvements
• Working closely with production and engineering teams to support business objectives
• Managing spare parts, maintenance budgets, and equipment records
