REED Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a client based in Melsonby, who are looking to appoint a full-time and permanent Finance Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.
Paying a salary of £21,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Role and responsibilities:
- Sales Ledger – credit control, raising invoices, taking payments, statement runs, new account openings
- Purchase Ledger – invoice processing, statement reconciliations, payment runs….
- Nominal Ledger – assist with monthly reconciliations & analysis
- Cashbook & petty cash – daily cashbook reconciliations, petty cash control
- Liaising with customers and suppliers, helping to maintain & develop our existing strong relationships
- Stock control – assist with stock checks, stock analysis & reporting
- General office support – assisting with the smooth running of the office
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Have excellent numerical, writing, communication skills
- AAT Level 2 essential, Level 3 desirable
- Confident IT skills with Excel essential
- Ability to prioritise work to key deadlines, be thorough, with meticulous attention to detail
- An interest in wine would be an advantage
- In-house training, support and development will be provided for the successful candidate
