Our clients are a specialist in the design, installation and maintenance of fire safety and electrical systems, providing fire and electrical compliance and testing services. This covers a comprehensive range of physical infrastructure and safety considerations required for a building to meet regulatory requirements. As a leading fire and electrical compliance service provider to the Public sector, our success relies upon a market leading engaged and highly skilled Team, for which we are always seeking skilled and self-motivated individuals to join.

They are currently recruiting for a Sprinkler Designer / Project Manager to join our successful and growing team.

General Duties/ Key Responsibilities:

* Undertake surveys and design systems to BS9251 and other applicable standards, whilst project managing the process.

* Attend site meetings carrying out site surveys and inspections.

* Management, supervision, and inspection of fire protection projects to current BS, FIRAS, BAFE and other applicable standards.

* Leadership and co-ordination of direct fire protection teams and subcontractors (as applicable) work duties engaged in installing and removing fire protection equipment from customer sites including other enabling works such as ceilings, walls, floors, and other structures.

* Liaising with site contractors and clients on fire protection product requirements.

* Providing training and best practice advice to install teams.

* Manage cost plans and resources within identified parameters with regular reporting to the Leadership team of progress and status.

* Attend monthly management meetings and provide costings, budget, project requirements and job completion for the fire protection division.

* Manage Project change processes within the contract identifying margin improvement opportunities, delivering increased margin to original estimate.

* Building lasting client relations with customers, providing great customer service

* To effectively develop specifications and communicate all work plans on a weekly basis to the fire protection team.

* Produce and communicate client reports which detail the work carried out to the agreed project work plan.

* Implement all statutory regulatory and company requirements for managing Health and Safety. Support our SHQE Director with the creation and management of RAMS/method statements to ensure safety and compliance for all fire protection work carried out for clients.

* Support the business with all aspects of legal compliance, risk assessments and audits in relation to the division.

* Working closely with other managers, surveyors, and supervisors on specific work projects to provide advice and quotations for fire protection solutions and services to the client.

* Working closely with the Leadership team on project issues and client changes proposing different ideas and potential solutions.

* Supply chain and sub-contractor management.

* Regular travel predominantly throughout the South & South West of the UK.

Skills/Qualifications:

* LPCB Basic qualification

* AutoCAD experience

* Fire Suppression Design knowledge utilising LPCB rules standards

* A basic understanding of LPC Rules incorporating BS EN 12845

* Ability to develop and maintain relationships with business internal/ external customers to drive customer satisfaction

* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite)

* Design specifications / Presentational Packages

* Project Management experience

* Working with and producing contractual documentation

* Full, clean UK Driving Licence.

* BIM experience preferred
