Job Description:

This is a 12 week temp to perm position paying the fabricator/welder a starting rate of £18.00 ph. Overtime after 40 hrs at time and a half.

Job Summary -fabricator/welder
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. The ideal applicant will possess strong fabrication knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities -fabricator/welder

* Perform MIG welding on various metals, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications

* Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

* Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and welding requirements

* Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures

* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations

* Inspect finished work for quality control, making adjustments as necessary to meet specifications

* Operate relevant machinery safely and efficiently throughout production cycles

Requirements -fabricator/welder

* Proven experience in MIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing environment

* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools.

* Strong understanding of welding principles.

* Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations

* Knowledge of assembly processes and ability to interpret technical drawings or blueprints

* Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

* Good organisational skills with a focus on safety compliance during all tasks

* Previous experience working with Fabrication workshop is highly desirable

* Relevant certifications in welding or fabrication are advantageous but not mandatory
