Overview

We are looking for a confident Payroll Officer to join a fantastic Payroll team in a business who are going through an exciting period of growth. This is a great opportunity in a friendly team - the selected individual will have some experience in a similar role and will have the opportunity to pick up skills in other areas of finance.

As the Payroll Assistant, you will process the weekly, four weekly and monthly payroll for employees and answer internal queries. There are also plenty of opportunities to pick up skills in other areas of finance, should you want to. This position will be joining a fun-loving, enjoyable finance team who welcome new members with open arms and provide them with every opportunity to expand and grow and aim to make all staff members feel comfortable.

Skills required:

• Be a confident communicator and have the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders whilst demonstrating a high level of comfort
• Proficient in all Microsoft packages including Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word and demonstrate strong knowledge of PAYE, SMP and NIC
• Ability to work collaboratively, prioritise workloads and be highly motivated and able to use your own initiative
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
