Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operating Micron CNC High Speed machining centres, Charmille CNC Wire eroders, Sodick CNC Spark eroders, and Jones & Shipman surface grinders. In addition, experience in in-house design using UniGraphics and CAM programming using Visi is required.

Responsibilities

* Operate and maintain Micron CNC High Speed machining centres, Charmille CNC Wire eroders, Sodick CNC Spark eroders, and Jones & Shipman surface grinders

* Use UniGraphics for in-house design and Visi for CAM programming

* Fabricate precision tools and machinery parts according to engineering blueprints

* Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate and efficient production

* Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications

* Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times

* Work with a diverse team in a collaborative environment

Qualifications

* Proven experience operating Micron CNC High Speed machining centres, Charmille CNC Wire eroders, Sodick CNC Spark eroders, and Jones & Shipman surface grinders

* Proficiency in in-house design using UniGraphics and CAM programming using Visi

* Strong attention to detail and precision

* Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Day-to-Day

* Reviewing engineering blueprints and specifications

* Setting up and operating CNC machines

* Inspecting finished tools and parts for quality

* Collaborating with design team on tool and part modifications

* Using UniGraphics for in-house design and Visi for CAM programming
