Are you ready to take your career in finance to the next level? We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join our client in Newcastle under Lyme. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the education sector!

Position: Accounts Assistant
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: From £13.10ph
Working Pattern: Full Time. Hybrid. Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:00pm, can be flexible for the right person.

What You'll Do:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with a variety of tasks, including accounts payable and purchase to pay. Duties include:

Matching invoices with purchase orders

Liaison with departmental staff to process delivery notes / receipt of goods

Dealing with supplier queries

Monitoring the Accounts Payable email inbox

Maintain accurate records
Chase outstanding coding and approving on the portal

Support on call handling database (Topdesk) with categorising the calls, referring to the user guides / information provided on our web pages if required

Support with on boarding new supplier requests - sending out documentation, and checking the returned documentation

Assisting with invoicing and payment processing

Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies

What We're Looking For:

Attention to Detail: You have a knack for accuracy and precision in your work.
Strong Communication Skills: You can convey information clearly and professionally.
Accounts Experience: Previous experience in accounts or finance is essential.
