About the Role

We are School is seeking an inspirational and dynamic Headteacher to lead the school into its next chapter, beginning with its centenary year in 2026. With ambitious development plans, including a new Middle School section and International expansion, this is a unique leadership role within a nurturing, academically focused environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong presence in the classroom as well as the boardroom—able to teach upper KS2, engage effectively with parents and governors, and drive strategic change while preserving the school's long-standing ethos.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide visionary leadership and strategic development

* Maintain and develop the school's outstanding 11+ preparation and academic success

* Teach Year 5/6 for 1-2 days per week (20-40% teaching commitment)

* Lead on Middle School planning, including DfE approval processes

* Promote the school locally and online to grow enrolment and visibility

* Ensure full compliance with ISI and regulatory frameworks

* Inspire and support staff, students, and families with a warm, approachable leadership style

The Ideal Candidate Will:

✅ Hold Qualified Teacher Status and leadership experience in the independent sector

✅ Demonstrate a strong understanding of the 11+ entrance process (North London/Essex)

✅ Have previous experience with ISI inspections and regulatory compliance

✅ Be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organisational skills

✅ Be digitally confident and comfortable building the school's online presence

✅ Lead with empathy, integrity, humour, and a deep commitment to holistic education
