About the Company

Our client is a leading Tier 2 aerospace manufacturer specialising in plasma coating, paint and machining for major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet regulatory, customer and company quality requirements. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives, manages non-conformances and ensures compliance with AS9100 and customer specifications.

  • Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance processes aligned with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances
  • Support First Article Inspection activities in line with AS9102 requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns and drive improvement
  • Support internal and external audits in line with AS9100 requirements
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation including inspection plans, control plans and quality reports
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements for quality metrics
  • Participate in new product introduction projects to ensure quality requirements are met from concept to production
  • Work with production teams on quality standards and best practices
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean and 8D problem solving

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within the aerospace, automotive or precision engineering sector
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management systems
  • Familiarity with AS9102 FAI, PPAP, APQP and NADCAP processes is desirable
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem solving methodologies including 5 Why, 8D and FMEA
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, processes and standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in quality tools and systems such as Minitab, SPC, CMM and ERP or MRP systems
