This is an Electrical Project Management role in Preston with a bit of difference. You will heavily work client side and be immersed in Clerk of Works and Compliance responsibilities focussing heavily on delivering on projects and provided exceptional service to clients. To all intents and purposes this role is an Electrical Project Manager role but its involves other aspects too including the management of small works, clerk of works duties, compliance and being able to be heavily client facing.

Your knowledge of Electrical Building Services installations needs to be strong. You need to have a detailed understanding of the Standards and Regulations for both design processes and on site processes too. The most important element here is being able to work closely with clients to enable a smooth project process, running on time and to budget and you will need some commercial acumen to be able to work with the client whilst stood in front of them.

You will manage processes associated with Legionella testing and Fire Risk Assessments and whilst needing to be aware of what this entails you do not need to be qualified to do these tests yourself as they already have others who are qualified to support these requirements. Your role will focus more on the delivery for the client and delivering the electrical elements as an Electrical Project Manager.

You will work in an amongst a small team and you will need to be able to work with a team of design engineers in the office who will support your projects. You will work on projects on the North West that includes Residential, Commercial and Education projects and they also have frameworks in the local authority and industrial defence sector that will also require your input. There is a job in South Yorkshire which will reuqire irregaular attendance but that is the furthest for now that you will travel from Preston.
