EC&I Engineer - staff position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EC&I Engineer to join a rapidly expanding organisation that provides Engineering and Project Management Services to the Nuclear and Defence industries.

They offer consultancy services, engineering solutions and site operation support to a wide range of industry operators throughout the UK.

The EC&I Engineer will generate EC&I engineering project deliverables such as:

Block Diagrams
Basic calculations
Technical specifications
Requirements
Technical reports
They will also provide project, stakeholder and bid management support such as:

Input into the generation of project schedules
Maintaining relationships with our Clients and the Supply Chain
Generating and responding to Technical Queries (TQs)
The EC&I Engineer will have an excellent understanding of general electrical or controls and instrumentation principles including;

Design fundamentals
Application of formulae and calculations
Basic optioneering and equipment selection
Environmental impact to installation and equipment
General understanding of EC&I drawings
Both reading and production of Block, Line, Layout, Schematic, Wiring, Termination etc, Fundamentals of Safety Systems, Interlocks and of designing to 'Fail Safe'
Control methodology

Related qualifications in a technical discipline is desirable.

Candidates will be expected to undergo UK Security Vetting to DV level, thus will need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.

This position offers hybrid working with 1 -2 days based in the office, and a working 9 day fortnight
