Location: Westminster, London (Office Based)
Contract: Temporary, 21st July 2025 - 13th October 2025
Hours: 36 per week, 09:00-17:00
Rate: Up to £23 per hour (Umbrella)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
About the Role
Our client's Housing Services team are seeking a Temporary Lettings Officer to join their Housing Management Service. In this vital role, you will oversee the end‑to‑end lettings process, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for residents across the area.
Key Responsibilities
Managing all housing management phases of the void and lettings process.
Collaborating closely with the Allocations Team, Voids Team, and contractors to achieve turnaround targets.
Conducting pre‑inspections, accompanied viewings, and tenancy sign‑ups (both in‑person and virtual).
Providing information and guidance on tenancy rights, responsibilities, and the allocations process.
Delivering a customer‑focused, "estate agency" style approach to viewings.
Maintaining accurate records and providing regular lettings activity reports.
Assisting residents with moving advice, tenancy obligations, and general housing queries.
Attending evictions and arranging follow‑up action as required.
Ensuring excellent customer service and responding to enquiries within agreed timescales.
What We're Looking For
Experience in a lettings role or a similar housing function (desirable).
Experience working with the public or in a customer service environment (essential).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritise and manage a busy, front‑line service.
Competency with IT systems and accurate record‑keeping.
A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
Awareness and understanding of equality and diversity principles in service delivery.
Additional Information
This role is fully office‑based (no work‑from‑home option).
You will be working as part of the Housing Management Service team, reporting to the Area Housing Manager.
