Our client, a major player in Europe's transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Trailer Technician to join their team in Barry.

The role of the HGV Trailer Technician is critical to maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and customer service within the organisation. Starting annual salary of £36,000 to £38,000, dependent on experience
25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays; buy up to 4 additional days, total 37 days holiday

Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV trailers to ensure safety and operational standards
Diagnose and rectify faults using EBS diagnostics such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE systems
Complete compliance documentation accurately and promptly
Follow health and safety protocols at all times
Support ongoing professional development through relevant training
Work efficiently within a team to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional service
Uphold all company standards and values in the role of HGV Trailer TechnicianRequirements as a HGV Trailer Technician:

NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Practical experience working on trailers or tail lifts
Knowledge of EBS diagnostics (preferred but not essential)
Welding experience, axle or brake repair certifications, or experience with double-deck/lifting decks is desirable
HGV Class 1 driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory
A motivated team player with the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure
Strong commitment to health and safety practicesThis position is primarily Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, offering some flexibility. The successful professional will join a dynamic team and will have access to fantastic development opportunities.
