I'm recruiting for a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to join a well-established college in Manchester. This is a key role responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for staff, students, visitors, and contractors, while managing the college's soft facilities.

The Role
The successful candidate will implement a sensible, risk-based approach to health and safety management. The focus will be on promoting risk awareness rather than unnecessary risk avoidance, ensuring that the college maintains a safe and compliant learning environment. You will also manage soft facilities services across the college.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure a safe environment for staff, students, visitors, and contractors
Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
Take a reasonable, proportionate approach to risk management
Promote risk awareness and a safety culture across the college
Oversee soft facilities management, ensuring services meet operational standards
Monitor compliance with relevant legislation and college policiesAbout You

Working towards the NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
Recognised Health and Safety qualifications
Qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
Experience in managing compliance and facilities in an educational or similar environment is desirableWhat's on Offer
