We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join a leading manufacturer based in Hartlepool. The organisation is a manufacturing company specialising in the production of security, mailing, and wicketed bags. They are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to assist the Finance Department in producing the Financial Statements of the business. The role will cover a broad range of day-to-day finance related tasks during the month with this aim. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody to progress to a Management Accountant in the manufacturing sector.

The Assistant Management Accountant is a permanent position and will provide a salary of between £27,000 and £32,000 depending on experience. Plus 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays. Plus other benefits, including, medicash, enhanced maternity, paternity, sick etc.

The hours of work are 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.

Role and Requirements:

* Must be AAT level 4 qualified.

* Competent with Microsoft packages, specifically excel

* Must be a driven individual, with the hunger to grow as there will be the opportunity to develop into a Management Accountant.

* Experience of preparing monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns would be beneficial but not essential

* Competent with Accountancy systems, however training will be provided.

* Balance sheet reconciliations and required month end journals, for prepayments, rebates, payroll etc

* Liaising with the sales team to create credit and debit notes when required and following the inventory discounting process.
