Design & Technology Teacher

Inspire the next generation of innovators

Are you a creative and forward-thinking Design & Technology Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity to shape young minds and spark innovation? We have the perfect role for you in a progressive and well-resourced secondary school in Harrow, starting September 2025.

This is a rare opportunity to join a school that truly champions creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. With a strong commitment to STEM and vocational education, the school has invested heavily in its D&T facilities—including state-of-the-art workshops, 3D printers, laser cutters, and specialist design software. You'll be teaching in an environment that encourages experimentation, collaboration, and imagination.

The role

• Deliver engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons across KS3-KS5, tailored to a wide range of abilities and interests
• Inspire students through exciting projects in areas such as product design, resistant materials, CAD/CAM, and sustainable design
• Work collaboratively within a dynamic department that embraces innovation and cross-curricular learning
• Take part in enriching the D&T curriculum and supporting student-led projects, competitions, and exhibitions

What we're looking for

• A qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching D&T at secondary level
• A passion for design, engineering, and creativity with a strong subject knowledge base
• Someone who brings energy, initiative, and a commitment to helping students realise their ideas from concept to creation
• A reflective practitioner who values collaboration and ongoing professional growth

Whether you're looking to balance your teaching with other commitments or simply want a new, rewarding challenge in a supportive school community—this role offers flexibility, inspiration, and purpose.
