A wonderful Primary School in the BS49 area of North Somerset is currently looking for a caring Teaching Assistant who can support a new pupil joining their school in September.

This school aims to provide a happy, stimulating, and supportive climate in order for their children to achieve their maximum potential.

The Role

As a successful candidate, you will be expected to work on a full-time basis, Monday to Fridays, 8:30 to 3:30, supporting a pupil joining a KS2 class this academic year.

Communication is key for this role. You will need to work collaboratively with the Teacher to support a pupil with ASD needs.

This pupil is super intellectual but is really quiet and enjoys concentrating on his work outside of the classroom setting.

You will be expected to:

  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the needs of the child.

  • Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.

  • Create a safe environment for the pupil to learn at their own pace.

  • Manage and support the child’s needs.

  • Be adaptable with the learning opportunities.
