We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our Housing Solutions team. This role is key to supporting households placed in temporary accommodation, ensuring properties are safe, well-managed, and that residents receive the advice and assistance they need while awaiting permanent housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of households living in temporary accommodation, providing advice and guidance on housing options and tenancy sustainment
Carry out regular property inspections to ensure standards, health and safety, and contractual obligations are met
Act as the main point of contact for households, landlords, and accommodation providers, resolving issues promptly and professionally
Monitor occupancy, voids, and usage of temporary accommodation to ensure efficient use of resources
Work closely with colleagues across Housing Solutions, Repairs, and external partners to support households into settled housing
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in line with policies, procedures, and data protection requirementsAbout You
Experience working in housing management, homelessness, or temporary accommodation services
Knowledge of housing legislation, homelessness duties, and safeguarding responsibilities
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with vulnerable households and partner agencies
Good organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
IT proficient with experience of using housing management systems or similar databases
