My client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their manufacturing team. They are a leading manufacturer of lifting solutions and their preferred candidate will have a proven background in planning, executing, and finalising engineering projects within agreed deadlines and budgets, as well as an understanding Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement methodologies.

Project Engineer role:
Working as the successful Project Engineer your working week will be Monday to Friday. You will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for technical projects from concept through to completion, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.
You will co-ordinate cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to deliver projects.
Analyse current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost reduction, improved efficiency, and quality.
Apply Lean Six Sigma tools and principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare detailed project documentation, including timelines, specifications, and technical reports.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or systems.
Monitor project performance and conduct post-implementation reviews to measure success and identify lessons learned.
Supporting the implementation of new technologies and automation systems in alignment with business goals.

Project Engineer requirement:
2+ years minimum experience in a manufacturing or engineering project-based role.
Knowledge or certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred; Yellow Belt minimum).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and plant layout optimisation.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commitment to H&S and quality standards.
Experience working in a high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environment. (desirable)
Familiarity with ISO standards, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis techniques. (desirable)
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. (desirable)
