A growing aerospace engineering manufacturer in Coventry seeking an experienced Buyer to support our procurement and supply chain activities, with a strong focus on material and subcontract purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

* Purchase raw materials in line with production demand

* Source and manage subcontract services (machining, finishing, treatments)

* Negotiate costs, lead times, and terms with suppliers

* Manage supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery)

* Raise and manage purchase orders via ERP/MRP systems

* Work cross-functionally with production, planning, and engineering

* Support cost reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives

Requirements

* Experience as a Buyer within engineering/manufacturing (aerospace preferred)

* Strong background in material and subcontract procurement

* Good commercial and financial awareness

* Exposure to supply chain management

* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

* ERP/MRP system experience desirable
