Senior Mechanical Engineer

Actio Engineering recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for an exciting opportunity based in Stroud where you will be working on unique and interesting products in the Aeronautical sector.

The Company

Our client are a highly established company working in the aero sector where they design, manufacture, refurbish and overhaul complex components for a range of aircraft. They pride themselves on their craftsmanship, quality and customer satisfaction.

The Role

You will lead the service and overhaul team stripping down, inspecting and overhauling mechanical products. Duties include:

* Overseeing the processes of each project

* Disassembly and cleaning of products

* Inspection for wear and damage

* Measuring components to meet design criteria

* Identifying components needed for repair

* Chemical plating where required

* Balancing of components

* Painting of components

* Detailed mechanical assembly

About You

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who has sound mechanical assembly / disassembly experience, hands on experience, the ability to work from complex drawings, inspection of components using various methods and be a great team player.

Previous aerospace experience would be an advantage but not essential as it could suit a candidate from another sector with suitable skills and experience.

Pay and Hour

£19.50 per hour (£40,560 p.a.) to £21.50 per hour (£44,720 p.a.) depending on experience

40 hours per week - full time.
