Production Manager | Poole | £52,000

This role suits a hands-on, commercially minded Production Manager who thrives on continuous improvement and enjoys taking ownership of people, processes, and performance within a busy production or manufacturing setting.

Monday to Friday rotating shifts, 42.5 hours per week, alternating weekly between early and late starts.

As a Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the senior operational decision-maker while on shift
• Taking full ownership for performance across output, cost control, and margin delivery from day one
• Delivering planned vehicle throughput and parts recovery targets
• Managing workflow constraints, backlog and takt time adherence in real time
• Controlling labour efficiency, utilisation levels and overtime spend
• Protecting contribution margin through disciplined operational execution
• Ensuring safety standards are upheld and responding promptly to on-shift risk
• Driving structured continuous improvement and embedding lean principles across teams

As a Production Manager, your experience will include:

• Proven experience managing production or operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop teams
• Experience working to KPIs, performance metrics, and operational targets
• A proactive, hands-on management style with strong problem-solving ability
• Confidence operating in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
