We are seeking a qualified Art Teacher to join a vibrant school in Wigan. This full-time, temporary position is available from November to the Christmas half term, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art and education, ready to inspire young minds with creativity and innovation.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in art.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Instruct students in the use of various art materials and techniques.
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and disciplinary systems.
• Set and mark homework, assignments, and tests, providing detailed feedback to foster student development.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
• Stay current with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Proven experience as an Art Teacher at the secondary education level.
• Strong knowledge of art history and different art genres, and proficiency in various art techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
• Ability to foster a stimulating, inclusive, and challenging learning environment.
