Support Worker FEMALE – Home-Based Support

Location: Bury

Shifts Available: Full-time, Part-time & Flexible

Pay: Real Living Wage (weekly pay)

Precedo Healthcare is recruiting a compassionate and skilled FEMALE Support Worker to provide dedicated support to a young woman living at home with her family. She may display behaviours that challenge and has a history of self-harm, so this role requires patience, understanding, and a calm approach.

You will support her in and out of the home, help maintain a safe and positive environment, and encourage engagement with activities and the local community. This role focuses on emotional support, guidance, and fostering independence in a safe, structured way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and guidance in the home and community
  • Promote a safe, structured, and positive environment
  • Respond calmly to behaviours that may challenge
  • Encourage social engagement, hobbies, and community access
  • Maintain accurate records and follow support plans
  • Work closely with the family and any professionals involved

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months’ UK Support Worker experience (within last 3 years)
  • Experience supporting individuals with self-harm risk or challenging behaviour
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with families/professionals
