We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapy Lead (Team Manager) to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key leadership role, overseeing Community Occupational Therapy teams and driving service excellence during a period of transformation.

  • £33.16 per hour
  • 4-month contract (high likelihood of extension)

The Role:

As Team Manager, you will provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight across locality-based Occupational Therapy teams, supporting adults to maximise their independence, safety, and wellbeing within the community.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring:

  • High-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy practice
  • Effective triage and workflow management
  • Strong supervision and team development in line with best practice recommendations
  • Delivery aligned to ongoing service redesign and improvement priorities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage Community OT teams across Herefordshire
  • Provide professional guidance and support to staff
  • Ensure timely and effective case management and service delivery
  • Drive performance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with partners, particularly Wye Valley Trust therapy services, to support integrated pathways
  • Facilitate smooth transitions between hospital, reablement, and community settings
About You:
  • Be a qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Hold current HCPC registration
  • Have previous management or senior leadership experience within adult social care or community OT services
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
  • Have experience working within multi-disciplinary and integrated health and social care environments.
