Library Operative – Join the Team!

£13.85 per hour (PAYE) Euston, London 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Monday–Saturday (with a weekday off!) Temporary ongoing 

We’re on the lookout for proactive, hands-on Library Operatives to support essential manual tasks in a busy library environment within our national library based in Euston.  Perfect for those who are physically fit, enjoy staying active, and don’t mind a bit of lifting, walking, and occasional climbing!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Shelving books and keeping everything neat and organised
• Retrieving books from different sections (may involve ladders/kick stools)
• Pushing trolleys loaded with books around the library
• Helping set up displays and rearrange library furniture
• Maintaining a clean, tidy environment
• Handling any additional tasks assigned by library management

What We’re Looking For

• Physically fit – lifting, bending, and lots of walking
• Ability to follow instructions and work solo or as part of a team
• Strong organisation skills and great attention to detail
• Previous experience is a bonus but not essential
