Are you an experienced SEND professional passionate about supporting the inclusion of children with SEND in mainstream education?
As an Inclusion Advisor, you will join our forward thinking, successful and supportive Special Educational Needs and Disabilities team; where you will work alongside a range of inspirational professionals dedicated to improving the outcomes for young people with additional needs and their families. will develop your career by working with a team of experienced and knowledgeable individuals, who deliver a diverse range of provision available in the borough which benefits children and families. You will be part of an expanding and progressive service and support us to extend our inclusion vision with schools and settings across Wandsworth.

About the role
Advice and consultation: You will provide support to school SENCo and teachers around the inclusion of pupils with a range of SEND needs within mainstream classes. You will advise on policy and practice and reasonable adjustments.
Collaboration: You will work with SENCo and school leaders to support the delivery of Ordinarily Available Provision including collaboration with a range of professionals across Wandsworth to secure the best outcomes.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Substantial experience as a SENCO or Inclusion leader within a mainstream school with demonstrable impact on removing barriers to the inclusion of children with SEND.
- Evidence based understanding of the pedagogy for including pupils with SEND within mainstream classes and the ability to coach and support other teachers to implement this.
- Ability to challenge and support school leaders to ensure the best possible provision is provided for children with SEND to enable them to achieve their outcomes.
