Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual with a passion for helping children thrive? Our welcoming and supportive primary school in Wythenshawe is looking for a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism.

About the Role

We are seeking someone who:

Can build warm, trusting relationships and provide consistent encouragement

Understands or is willing to learn about autism and individualised learning needs

Is able to support the child's academic, social, and emotional development

Can work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals

Brings creativity, positivity and patience to each day

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day

Help the pupil access the curriculum through differentiated activities

Encourage independence, communication and emotional regulation

Use strategies to support sensory and behavioural needs

Contribute to planning, assessment and review meetings

About You

Experience working with children, particularly with SEN, is desirable
