Salary: £64,901 to £77,465 (Dependent on Experience)

About the role & client:

We're recruiting on behalf of an education provider for a senior leader to direct STEM strategy and delivery. You will set the vision for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics provision; ensure outstanding teaching and learning; and align programmes with employer demand and funding requirements.

Responsibilities:

* Lead STEM strategy, targets and KPIs to improve achievement, progression and destinations.

* Own STEM curriculum planning, sequencing and assessment, ensuring compliance with awarding bodies.

* Drive quality improvement through observations, data analysis and targeted support plans.

* Manage budgets, resources, timetabling and specialist facilities to optimise delivery.

* Maintain assessment quality via liaison with awarding organisations and internal/external verification.

* Recruit, develop and mentor staff, building a high-performance teaching culture.

* Oversee funding compliance (ILR/returns) and maximise eligible income.

* Develop employer, HE and community partnerships to enhance curriculum and progression.

* Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory compliance.

* Report performance and lead cross-college STEM initiatives.

Candidate requirements:

* Degree (or equivalent) with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLS).

* Proven management experience in education or relevant industry.

* Experience in curriculum planning, staff and resource management.

* Strong understanding of funding methodologies and budget management.

* Experience in staff recruitment, observations and performance support.

* Excellent leadership, communication, data analysis and stakeholder skills.
