We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to making a tangible positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
What you'll be doing:
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, dyslexia, global developmental delay).
* Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting materials as needed.
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
* Potentially supporting students with personal care needs where required.
* Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
* Fostering independence and confidence in students, celebrating their achievements.
* Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
We're looking for someone who has:
* Level 2 Qualification in either TA, Childcare, Health & Social or Care.
* Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (voluntary or paid).
* A genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of young people.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, resilience, and a positive, proactive attitude.
