Senior Social Worker - Family Help Hub - £42 ph

Role Responsibilities:

Although there is no direct line management responsibility, you will provide mentoring, support and guidance for other colleagues. You'll also promote and sustain a learning culture and personal professional development through professional reflective supervision and guidance offered to less experienced Social Workers and have the ability to engage in internal/external training delivery. Liaising and building relationships with partners/agencies outside of Children's Social Care to develop and maintain effective arrangements to support children and families is a key aspect of the role. You will also be expected to chair a range of meetings and offer skilled support at case meetings as well as to support the Principal Social Worker in demonstrating and promoting excellent social work practice. Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Registration with Social Work England.

* At least 3 years' experience as a Qualified Social Worker

* Hold a Social Work or other professional qualification relevant to role e.g. DipSW, CQSW, Dip OT, Community/District Nurse Registered with the relevant professional body BSL/NVQ sign language level 3 if appropriate for role.

* Evidence of ability to develop/mentor less experienced practitioners.

* Able to contribute to a culture of learning and improvement, where staff are sufficiently stretched and mentored to meet their aspirations.

* Skilled in applying a strengths based approach and a basic understanding of the Hampshire Approach and an ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the core principles of the approach (see above for further information relating to the Hampshire Approach).
