Job Title: CNC Milling Machinist
Location: Nuneaton
Reporting To: CNC Team Leader
Type: Permanent, Split Double Shift
Salary: £37,523 + 12.5% shift allowance
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to join our team at the Nuneaton site. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for CNC machining of tooling for composite component manufacture, including Epoxy boards, Carbon composite parts, and jigs and fixtures. Additionally, the role involves working with Aluminum, Steel, and other metals for a range of components currently being manufactured.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure correct speeds/feeds and optimum machine/operating practices at all times.
* Consistently meet program cycle times and ability to run left and right-hand parts simultaneously if required.
* Set up components using holding/turn-over fixtures or plates efficiently.
* Accurately measure tooling and components using micrometers, verniers, etc.
* Run machines to maximum efficiency and optimize free running whenever possible.
* Focus on continuous improvement and provide feedback to improve future processes.
* Coordinate with the CNC Team Leader to ensure job timing is achieved.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in machine areas.
* Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
* Flexibility to assist with tasks across the Nuneaton site as needed.
* Ability to read drawings is advantageous.
Desirable Experience/Knowledge:
* Fully trained in the use of all types of CNC Milling machines fitted with Heidenhein controllers or Mazatrol control.
* Excellent understanding of machining technology and working to tolerances.
* Time served machinist with experience in a manufacturing machining environment.
* Experience in bespoke projects rather than production-oriented work.
