The Role
Support the Configuration Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the Configuration Centre. You'll lead a team of technicians, manage stock, uphold quality standards, and drive ongoing improvements.
What You'll Do
* Lead a Team: Oversee 5-10 technicians, handle reviews, mentoring, and scheduling.
* Own Quality: Run secondary QC checks, stock validation, and audit analysis.
* Assign Tasks: Plan workloads and maintain live technician schedules.
* Manage Stock: Oversee movements and adjustments in Delta.
* Solve Issues: Flag risks, remove blockers, and ensure deadlines are met.
* Report & Analyse: Track performance and technician time data.
* Liaise Cross-Functionally: Be the link between Configuration, Warehouse, and Project teams.
* Drive Improvements: Help test and implement better processes.
* Provide Cover: Step in during the manager's absence as needed.
The Technical Side
* Configure and test a range of IT hardware - tablets, laptops, tills, kiosks, switches, routers, servers, and more
* Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues as needed
* Manage your tasks in line with the project schedule
* Support with general duties such as maintenance, evaluations, and hardware cleaning
What You'll Bring
* Experience in IT, configuration, or EPOS environments
* Knowledge of networking/hardware/software (Wireless is a bonus)
* Great communicator with strong admin and reporting skills
* Physically able to move equipment
* MS Office confident
* Organised, proactive, and adaptable
* WMS experience and general IT interest are plus points
