About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Engineer (Manual Turner) to join our busy engineering department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist looking to work within a well-equipped workshop environment with access to a range of machinery and processes.

The successful candidate will have strong manual turning experience and be confident working with CNC equipment and other workshop machinery.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Perform precision manual turning operations to engineering drawings and specifications
Set up and operate CNC machines where required
Carry out balancing, grinding, milling, and welding tasks as part of the production process
Interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet required standards
Maintain machinery and ensure equipment is used safely and efficiently
Work collaboratively with other engineers and departments to meet production targets
Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
Essential Requirements

Proven experience in manual turning (essential)
Experience operating CNC machines
Knowledge of balancing, grinding, welding, and milling processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of health & safety in a workshop environment
Desirable

Formal engineering qualification (apprenticeship or equivalent)
Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
