Overview

We are seeking a proactive and community‑focused Visiting Available Homes Officer to join our team. This role combines customer-facing duties with essential administrative tasks, all geared toward minimising the time a property remains empty and ensuring a high-quality service for our customers.

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a positive mindset and a genuine willingness to contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Property Visits & Customer Engagement

Carry out property inspections to ensure homes meet required standards.
Conduct viewings with prospective tenants across the local region.
Complete tenancy sign-up appointments, offering excellent customer service throughout the process.Operational Efficiency

Work proactively to reduce void times and ensure properties are let as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Liaise with internal teams and contractors to resolve issues affecting property readiness.Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate and timely records of all inspections, viewings, and sign-ups.
Manage relevant documentation and ensure compliance with organisational procedures.
Provide flexible administrative support based on operational needs.About the Role

This is a hybrid position, requiring work across:

Home
Office (Leatherhead or Haywards Heath)
Local region (regular travel across Brighton & Chichester)Mileage will be paid for all authorised travel.

Essential Requirements

Full driving licence and access to a car (mandatory)
Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the region
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Positive, solution‑focused attitude
Ability to work flexibly across both community-based and administrative tasks
Basic DBS clearance (required for appointment)Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience in housing, lettings, property management, or community engagement
Customer service experience within a fast-paced environment
