Steel Designer - Structural & Architectural Metalwork
Location: Buckinghamshire (with projects across London & surrounding areas)

Are you a skilled Steel Designer looking to work on a diverse range of structural and architectural metalwork projects? Join a respected and forward-thinking steelwork contractor delivering high-quality solutions across London and beyond.

The Role

As a Steel Designer, you'll be producing precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for structural steel and bespoke architectural features. You'll collaborate with senior designers, engineers, and fabrication teams to bring complex designs to life-on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate 2D/3D drawings for staircases, balustrades, and steelwork using software such as Advance Steel or Tekla

  • Interpret architectural plans, structural drawings, and design briefs

  • Ensure designs are practical, buildable, and meet quality and compliance standards

  • Produce approval and fabrication drawings, material take-offs, and connection details

  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve technical queries

  • Assist in refining design processes, templates, and systems

  • Attend design reviews and support project delivery from concept to completion

  • Maintain document control, file versioning, and design records

  • Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines

What We're Looking For:
