Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a friendly and supportive team? I am working with a well-established law firm based in Redditch, currently seeking a confident and proactive Legal Assistant to support a busy Fee Earner in the Family Law Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected practice known for its client-focused approach and welcoming team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be providing secretarial and administrative support to a Family Law Fee Earner, helping to ensure the smooth running of a varied and rewarding caseload. Duties include (but are not limited to):

Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and handling general correspondence
Handling new client enquiries, onboarding, ID checks, and AML compliance
Typing and processing dictations with accuracy and efficiency
Organising and maintaining both electronic and paper files
Supporting the billing process and chasing outstanding payments
Liaising with the Accounts Team for payment processing and records
Managing file opening and closure (both digital and hard copy)
Communicating confidently with clients in person, by phone, and in writing
Coordinating with third parties such as Counsel, Courts, and Experts
Ensuring client confidentiality at all times
Using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and a Case Management System

About You:

I am looking for someone who can bring professionalism, initiative, and a positive attitude to the team. The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience as a legal assistant or secretary in a family law setting
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A client-focused approach with strong interpersonal abilities
Solid IT skills and experience with Case Management Systems
A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
