Finance Administrator

We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join a well-established organisation in the Carlisle area. This temporary role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working with financial systems and data. The Finance Administrator will support our busy finance function, ensuring smooth financial operations across the business.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Raise sales ledger invoices and handle related queries.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and respond to internal and external telephone calls.
- Maintain and monitor the shared finance mailbox.
- Process purchase invoices, including Web Expenses.
- Support credit control activities.
- Assist with sales invoicing and general finance administration.
- Produce analysis and reporting as required.
- Provide support and cover for finance colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and finance regulations.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong Excel knowledge.
- Experience using accounting software (Pegasus Opera desirable).
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of GDPR and data privacy standards.
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical, methodical approach.
- Confident problem-solver who can take tasks through to completion.
- Works accurately under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and within a team.
- Strong IT skills and confident using finance systems.
