Minerva Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a Prison Facilitator for a meaningful and rewarding role within the criminal justice system. This is a full-time position based onsite at HMP Nottingham, running until March 2026.
This role offers the chance to lead a peer-led learning programme that supports people in custody with basic reading and numeracy. You will work independently within the prison with support from your regional manager, helping learners build life-changing skills.

What You will Be Doing

Promote the literacy and numeracy programme throughout the prison
Identify and support learners and train peer mentors
Coordinate and supervise volunteers and mentors
Work with prison staff, education providers and other agencies
Organise reading groups, book clubs, and other literacy initiatives
Monitor and report on progress using internal systems and data
Maintain high-quality programme delivery and suggest improvementsWhat We are Looking For
Must-Haves:

Proven track record of working to and achieving targets
Ability to monitor performance and make proactive improvements
Comfortable using and interpreting data
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to build strong working relationships with staff at all levelsDesirable:

Experience working or volunteering in the criminal justice system
Experience with peer-led or mentoring programmes
Background in supporting education, literacy, or numeracy
