A highly regarded financial planning firm in St Albans is looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to support its growing team of financial advisers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who enjoys working closely with advisers, preparing detailed recommendations, and playing a key role in delivering high-quality financial advice to clients.
The RoleAs a Paraplanner, you will work closely with advisers and the wider support team to ensure clients receive well-researched and compliant financial planning recommendations. You will be responsible for report writing, research, and providing technical support across a variety of financial planning cases.
Key ResponsibilitiesParaplanning & Technical Support
- Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations
- Prepare and draft suitability reports for adviser review
- Provide technical support on pensions, investments, and protection products
- Build and maintain cashflow models to support financial planning advice
- Participate in regular case meetings with advisers
Client & Case Management
- Manage client requests including withdrawals, contributions, and policy amendments
- Communicate with clients via phone and email to resolve queries
- Prepare client review documentation and meeting packs
- Produce client summaries and supporting documentation
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance documentation is up to date
- Use CRM systems to manage workflows and track new business cases
- Process and submit paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Support the wider team with administrative tasks where required
Requirements- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
- Previous paraplanning experience within a financial planning firm
- Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, and financial planning products
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple cases
- High attention to detail and accuracy
