Zest Education is working in partnership with a small and inclusive primary school in Leicester to recruit a compassionate and experienced SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025.

This full-time role involves supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Key Stage 1 or 2, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive learning environment. The position has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

Work 1:1 with a pupil who requires tailored support due to learning, emotional, or behavioural needs

*

Deliver targeted interventions and adapt learning tasks under guidance from the teacher and SENCO

*

Support classroom engagement, social development, and emotional regulation

*

Contribute to reviews of progress and support plans

*

Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning experience

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience supporting pupils with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties)

Knowledge of effective behaviour and learning support strategies

*

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

*

A calm, patient, and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children
