Commissioning Children's Home Manager

Claire at Amber Mace is delighted to be working with a growing children's care provider to recruit an experienced Commissioning Children's Home Manager for a new service in Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the registration and opening of a new children's home and shape the culture, standards and success of the service from day one.

The Role:

Lead the commissioning and registration of a new children's home with Ofsted
Drive the service through the full set-up process including policies, procedures, staffing and referrals
Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing staff team
Create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and children's home standards
Build strong relationships with local authorities and external stakeholders
Oversee budgets, occupancy growth and overall service performance
The home will ideally support children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), so experience within this setting is highly desirable.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted-regulated children's home
Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks
Experience working within EBD services (highly desirable)
Successful track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
Experience in staff recruitment, leadership and performance management
Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
Passionate, resilient and driven to build a high-quality service
